It Was Lost at Sea

Takes me down
Into the depths
Of a murky sea
For it is there an
Ancient vessel lies
Buried in sand and debris.
She still stands proud
In her rusty coat
Even without her colors high

For she’s wrapped in
Seaweed’s ancient gray
That dangles from her sky.
It keeps her warm, some say
Protects her from wind and storm
It also ties her to the rocky shore
That contrived to do her in.
